It’s our dad dying we’re talking about! yelled George. Your father knew what he was getting into, and he won’t thank you for messing things up for the Order! said Sirius angrily in his turn. This is how it is — this is why you’re not in the Order — you don’t understand — there are things worth dying for!

The Kite Runner
₹200.00 – ₹500.00The core story of The Kite Runner is very strong. Amir, the main protagonist is a motherless child of a very popular but distant Baba. He has grown up with Hassan, a member of the abused Hazara community who is both Amir’s best friend and servant. However, in a moment of timidity and fear, Amir betrays Hassan, refusing to help him in his darkest hour.
A book unlike any other, it offers a glimpse into the life and culture of Afghanistan with characters and scenes that seem very real and detailed. The book is a tale full of courage and hope, even though the main character Amir, might lack them. Highly recommended!
This poster is inspired by one of the most memorable quotes from Kite Runner. An essential reading, make sure you add both the book and poster to your collection right now.

The Book Thief
₹200.00 – ₹500.00Set in Germany in the years 1939-1943, The Book Thief tells the story of Liesel, narrated by Death who has in his possession the book she wrote about these years. So, in a way, they are both book thieves. Liesel steals randomly at first, and later more methodically, but she’s never greedy. Death pockets Liesel’s notebook after she leaves it, forgotten in her grief, amongst the destruction that was once her street, her home, and carries it with him.
With The Book Thief, Markus Zusak has shown he’s a writer of genius, an artist of words, a poet, a literary marvel. His writing is lyrical, haunting, poetic, profound. This book is life-changing, because without ever denying the essential amorality and randomness of the natural order, “The Book Thief” offers us a believable, hard-won hope. That hope is embodied in Liesel, who grows into a good and generous person despite the suffering all around her, and finally becomes a human even Death can love. The hope we see in Liesel is unassailable, the kind you can hang on to in the midst of poverty and war and violence.
This poster is inspired by the characters of The Book Thief, which are the true soul and heart of the story. An essential reading, make sure you add both the book and poster to your collection right now.

A Suitable Boy
₹200.00 – ₹500.00Written by Vikram Seth, A Suitable Boy is a magnum opus about four large extended families – the story takes place in the early 1950s, in newly independent India. The novel opens with Mrs Rupa Mehra, head of one of the four families around which the story is centred, as she tries to arrange the marriage of her younger daughter, Lata, with a ‘suitable boy’.
Replete with themes of race, religion and class, the mother’s journey to find a suitable man to wed her daughter is not a straightforward one. Seth expertly paints a richly imagined world of four extended families as they manoeuver through a web of love and ambition, humour and sadness, prejudice and reconciliation, the most delicate social etiquette and the appalling violence. Rarely, such a long book {it’s almost 1400 pages long} is both an entertaining read and an intellectually satisfying challenge. Vikram Seth has more than succeeded in both areas.
This poster is inspired by Haresh Khanna, who is a passionate shoe manufacturer and is one of the ‘suitable boys’ in the novels. A dramatic and unforgettable tale of various characters from India, this book is one of the longest novels published in a single volume. Trust us; this one is indeed worth adding to your collection.
